FDA License Service in Bangkok, Thailand

Food and Drug Administration under Ministry of Public Health controls and supervise the permit relating to production or import of food, cosmetic, drugs, etc. The Department is mainly responsible for controlling and supervision of manufacturing, importing or ordering into the Kingdom, and distributing, 6 types of products which are

• Foods,
• Drugs ,
• Medical devices ,
• Cosmetics ,
• Hazardous substances (used in household or public health)
• Narcotics (psychotropic and narcotics),

To ensure such products reach set quality standards and are safe to consume. The scope of work of the Thai-FDA covers pre-marketing control, post-marketing control and also development of a higher level in standards form the manufacturing of health products and in developing better consumption practices of final consumer. The granting of FDA license is based on following supervision and control measures  

• Pre-marketing control of the factory, product, labelling and advertising
• Post-marketing control: regular checks of the previously controlled facilities and products
• Surveillance program for consumers’ safety once the product has been launched (e.g. verify whether or not there are any adverse effects)
• Consumer Education: Is the information given to the consumer sufficient and accurate?
• Technical support and cooperation with other agencies (e.g. seminars organized or attended to by the FDA)

Food and administration other than regulating control measure for import and sale of  above listed product  can issue following certificates

• Certificate of Free – sale
• Sanitary Certification
• GMP certification
• HACCP Certification
