Alcohol Import and Sale License Service in Bangkok, Thailand

Alcohol import License: The import and sale of alcohol in Thailand is subject to application of more than one license and comes under the jurisdiction of Excise department. Excise department has classified alcohol license under different type and category as per the requirement.

The Renewal of Licenses for the following year:

The license is expired on the 31st December of each year.
Before the expiry date, the seller must:
Apply for the new license before the 31st December and the application time starting from October.

Importation of alcohol:

Having alcohol sales license does not gives permission for you to import alcohol from abroad. Separate import permission has to be obtained from excise department itself on Import per time basis. To apply for the import permission, you will have to get the alcohol license first.

Label to fixed on the container has to be approved by the excise department. The label should include information name and address of business establishment of the applicant, product name, degree of alcohol content, container capacity and name and location of the manufacturer of the liquor and general warning on statement for alcohol consumption. The label has to be made out in Thai language. You should be authorized sole distributor of the imported liquor.
